If you see something like this, DO NOT CALL AN EXTERMINATOR!
Call a beekeeper, they can relocate the hive instead of killing them. Bees are dying at an alarming rate, please do not contribute to that! They are so important for our ecosystem!
yo fuck this i aint gonna call no beekeeper i’m moving before i’m dead
I’m going to call an exterminator so the exterminator can kill them. I’ll be able to sleep at night knowing that there are less bees in the world.
No bees = no food.
No food = no life.
Congratulations on destroying the world.
Save the bees. They’ll thank you by pollinating what will be your food.
You dense motherfuckers
Look, bees are dying at an alarming rate and hopefully people can call a beekeeper if this happens. BUT.
Does the beekeeper charge?
Do they charge more than the exterminator?
Is it a matter of life and death? If someone has allergies, and could die from this, I don’t blame them for wanting to get rid of the bees ASAP.
I have done a brief google test on this one, just by googling “bee relocation [my home town]” and “bee extermination [my home town]”. End result: bee relocation, between $50-$100 for the entire swarm, generally around $55-65 for native bees and $85-ish for European bees or other bees with quarantine restrictions etc. Price fluctuates a little with how large the swarm is and how hard they are to get to, but that’s your general range. Depending where you are there are actually organisations that will remove the swam for free—if you live near a Capalano producer for example—and of the couple of websites I checked most beekeepers state that they will happily
Bee extermination: the absolute cheapest I saw was $35/hour. I’m not sure many hours it takes to remove bees, but, based on my experience with having people in to destroy a fairly small nest of fire ants in an easily accessible location? Multiple hours. Possibly, multiple repeat visits. That said, many exterminators in my area are now turning to removal and relocation as an alternative, because they are aware of the environmental costs of killing bees.
If you have allergies, then I feel for you, I do. It sucks that you would have to put up with this. But if you want to get rid of the bees ASAP, it doesn’t actually matter who you call. Neither the exterminator nor the beekeeper is going to get to your house fast enough to make any kind of difference. You’re still going to have bees that could potentially kill you in your home for, at a guess, at least a couple of hours. Bees are non-aggressive unless you get all up in their faces, so you’re probably fine as long as you don’t actually pester them. They don’t want to sting you! Stinging you is a suicide mission for them! Leave them alone, keep an epipen and your phone handy just in case, or just relocate for a while.
(Additionally, the kind of hive and swarm seen in the picture doesn’t spring up overnight! If you have allergies I trust you to be aware enough of your own health and safety to notice when the first couple of bees move in and start hanging around.)
There’s really no excuse at all for the wanton destruction of peaceful, helpful insects.
I’M SENSING A PATTERN HERE

It’s the little things that make me appreciate my friends the most.
Cosmo, you sexist piece of shit.
Oh boo. There’s Wanda, his wife, grinning evilly in the background as he’s saying it.
Besides, context is important. Remember what this episode was? "Queen for a Day." The one with Trixie Tang’s birthday?
The entire point of Wanda hitting Timmy with this wish was to teach a moral to him. Timmy was hitting a mental roadblock trying to come up with a birthday present for Trixie, not having a clue what “a girl” would want for her birthday. Cue the wish forcing him into a female body and… Still pretty much liking the exact same stuff. And as he later found out, Trixie liked the same things he did, even if gender norms didn’t fit for it all.
In the end, Timmy ends up giving Trixie the present she wanted in a comic book store, but fakes getting upset over it when he gives it to her because her friends thought it was only for boys. But, she WAS grateful.
And this moment? This right here? Our male protagonist, Timmy, is now getting playfully mocked by Cosmo for suddenly being a girl. That’s going to teach boys, through the eyes of Timmy, how stupid it is to be demeaning to females for being female.
This episode was basically a giant slap in the face to the idea of gender norms. And you’re still calling Cosmo sexist for reinforcing the moral, which is how stupid even casual sexism is?
Childhood is firmly not ruined, thank you.
